A fun and funky way to use up those scraps of stuff we all have laying around :)
I made this little table for a Christmas Gift Exchange. It was a brunch and all items had to be handmade. I had this antique table (it used to have a marble top but it met with an unfortunate accident)which was horribly ugly! I knew someday I'd find a use for it.

I started by sanding the table and then painted it with 3 coats of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in French Linen. I then stenciled the numbers for the clock face...I just dabbed them with a fairly dry paintbrush and cheap craft paint. Then I used rub-on decals for the silverware "hands", leg decor and text.

Then I sanded it back. I always sand after I decorate because it allows me to age the whole piece. I then sealed the piece with 2 coats of C.C. Caldwell Satin (AMAZING product).

Then the fun begins! I used fun pieces of stuff from my stuff bin...I secured the chain with screws and washers and added some charms to the chain. I finished it off with several lengths of ribbon tied around the legs.

It was really fun to make and I love the way it turned out. I hope you do too :)
