Why buy an expensive laptop sleeve when you can make a funkier one for a quarter of the price!?
I recently purchased a new laptop and was in the need of a protective sleeve to carry it around in my daughter's diaper bag. However... they are so expensive here! So I decided to make one! Check out the PDF link that I credited because that's where I got the "how-to" for making this sleeve and it was a HUGE help

I changed the zipper location so that my laptop enters from the side instead of from the top of the sleeve. I also added a larger pocket on the inside for pens, usb cables, etc. and a smaller pocket on the outside for my usb mouse. The best idea is to use cotton batting to go between the lining and the outside fabric.. I didn't have any so I used that foam paper that you buy to protect china, etc. while moving. I double-layered it and so far it has held up really well as added padding to the sleeve. The fabrics that I used are old jeans that I had kicking around, leftover fabric from my daughter's crib bedding that I made, and a bit of bright pink lining that I had from a bridesmaids dress that I used at a good friend's wedding. I love quilting so I figured this sleeve really reflects who I am!!

Hope you enjoy making your own laptop sleeve to reflect your personal style!
