Cute Hair Pin Madness

About

I was inspired by Grace C's Lace Flowers. I got fancy with the black rose and added feathers to a hair clip. These would look awesome as little brooches too!

You Will Need (9 things)

  • Hair Pin With Pad
  • Glitter Paint
  • Fabric Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Silk Flower Leaves
  • Needle & Thread
  • Lace Trim
  • Craft Foam
  • Hot Glue Gun

Steps (7 steps, 15 minutes)

  1. 1

Supplies Not Appearing In This Picture: Hot Glue Gun.

Cut 16 inches (45 centimeters) of lace and get your thread ready!

  2. 2

Fold over a small part of the end of the lace and stitch it a few times. The lace I found has a nice netting on the bottom for easy sewing.

  3. 3

Role 4 inches (about 11 centimeters) of the lace. Put the needle through all the bottom netting a few times and tie it. (Does that make sense? If not I will put up a video...)

This will make the inner bud tight.

  4. 4

Continue to wrap the lace around your rose bud. It's ok if the bud moves up, it makes it look legit. Stitch the netting a few times and get it nice and tight.

  5. 5

Cut a slightly larger circle of craft foam to hot glue to your hair pin. Glue the leaf to the craft foam base and PRESS HARD!

  6. 6

Put a lot of glue at the base of your rose and PRESS HARD (without messing up your nice work) to the leaf on the pin.

    G-L-I-T-T-E-R!!!!

(If you feel like it, of course.)
