this is an extra long version of my nook hat. (these are available in my etsy store shameless plug). this hat fits child through adult, super stretchy and warm. I made the beginning of the hat the same way- the only change is in the decrease rows- I marked the center back of the hat (where I do the stripe change) and decreased one stitch per stripe , alternating sides of the center back while doing so. I used red heart soft yarn and the h knook.
