This is a present for my friend who's having a housewarming :) The ribbon is supposed to be the bottom of the stool so the outerlining can be untied and washed but I like it better on top :D

This is a present for my friend who's having a housewarming :) The ribbon is supposed to be the bottom of the stool so the outerlining can be untied and washed but I like it better on top :D

Instructions

  1. KNITTED OUTERLINING Cast on 36 stitches knit 68 needles in rib stitch (knit one purl one) Secure the last stitch by pulling the strand through the last loop. Pull a piece of ribbon through all 36 remaining stitches but don't tie yet. Take the tail at the beginning (cast on stitches). Gather round all stitches pull tight and tie. LINING (duvet case) cut two circles with a diameter of 38cm cut a rectangle measuring 96cm x 35cm Beginning at top of lining and with the longer side of the rectangle sew one of the circles to the rectangle then pin the other cirlce and sew that one. Don't sew the shorter ends of the rectangle together yet, this gap will be used to slide the duvet in. FILLING Lengthwise fold you duvet in half and then in half again and roll it up so that it gets the shape of a cillinder. MAKING UP Slide the duvet case on and close the gap by use of a ladder stitch. Now take your outerlining and fill it. Pull ribbon and tie.
