I love these little souvenir wooden shoes out here in Holland. Heck I love the big ones you can wear, I love ALL the klompen! They just take me back to earlier times when I see them. I STILL see people here in Holland who wear them as a normal part of their day. They are so cool! Nothing better than thinking of and seeing/feeling wooden shoes, windmills, brick houses, cobblestone streets and tulips, it's so me! I have a few different sizes and colors of these little wooden shoes I have collected but I was missing the "worn and hard worked" look like you see when you go to visit a windmill, watermill or farm. I decided to make my own little cuties. I have some in my flower garden that are HUGE and adorable to look at but this is the year that I get my very OWN wooden shoes to wear! Dorothy had her Ruby Red Slippers, Cinderella had her Glass Slippers, somebody had Golden Slippers but it slips my memory right now...lol and I SHALL HAVE MY WOODEN SHOES! Bahahahahahahahaaaaaa
