Cut Out + Keep

Kindle Case :)

Awesome Protective Kindle Case!, (because I didn't want to have to buy one for $30)

I made this Kindle Case from left over crafting materials, including some really great, soft, fluffy fleece scraps that I layered on the inside to make it cushioned. This actually took me about 4 hours to make, but could easily be done faster- I just kept changing my mind and experimenting. I really like the way it turned out, and my kindle is very happy in it's little house. I just got the kindle for my birthday and it is the best thing ever, and is going to save a lot of trees! The case is constructed from thin cardboard scraps, (actually from the box the kindle came in), I wrapped it in scrapbook paper, that I glitter mod podged over, and the back and flap are felt. It has a magnetic closure, (I nested regular button magnets into the cardboard so it wouldn't be as bulky)- a real magnetic snap would have been better, but I didn't have any on hand.) I layered some fantastic peace sign ribbon that Ive been dying to use around the sides and lined the top of the inside with it to hide some ugly stitching that I did. I used a LOT of hot glue on this project. The black felt i used was the sticky back kind, which really saved me time and made the contruction sturdier, the red felt peace sign I just cut out and attatched with fabric glue. Hope you like it!
