I wanted to work on a leather belt, but everything I was trying to do with it did not work out, and by the time I realized that it was not working out the piece of leather that I had cut out was no longer big enough for my waist. So what to do with this long strip of 1.5 inch leather... I know make cuff braclets for my kids, my nephew and niece. So here are the finished products. The first two bracelts are ones that I made for my son and nephew. I carved the skull (An Urban Threads pattern) and added a ruby eye to each. I then embellished them by carving crossed bones for my son, and stamping stars for my newphew (he skateboards). For my daughter and niece I once again carved the skulls with ruby eyes And then added cherries for my niece and hearts for my daughter. I was really happy how these came out (especially since these were my first attempts). I will look into making more of these in the future, possibly with a buckle closure instead of the snaps (that way when they grow the braclets will still fit.
