Ok, this is kind of weird. This is a baby shower gift. A friend of mine is pregnant and her baby likes to kick against her right kidney. So we figured that he'd need a substitute kidney to kick against after he is born. So I made this plushy. I embroidered on the face (after reinforcing the fabric with Vlieseline) because loose parts like eyes can be dangerous for babies. I'm quite happy with how that turned out since I'm not a very patient person or perfectionist. The plushy is made from all scraps of fabric I still had left, it's body is very soft and the veins and ureter will provide something to grab on to.
