Key to my heart is an easy project to add some rustic charm to your home.
This is a very simple project to add some rustic charm to your home.
Using your turquoise acrylic paint, apply the paint using the dry brush method.
Don't apply heavily, you want some of the wood showing through.
Draw or trace a heart onto your wood.
Using white acrylic paint, start dry brushing the heart.
Make it a little darker, but still let some of the wood show through.
Take your wire and metal key.
Place the key over the heart, and hold it in place and start wrapping the wire around the wood.
Continue wrapping the wire haphazardly.
Flip over, and using your pliers twist the wire together to tighten just enough to hold the key in place. Trim excess wire ends and tuck under.
No need to add a hook for hanging, just hang by the wire on the back.
