'Oh, Squish-mas tree...'
I made myself this cuddly Christmas tree from fleece fabric, felt and black safety eyes. It was inspired by Japanese, kawaii toys.
Firstly, I drew a tree shape onto cardboard to use as a template. After cutting out 2 pieces of green fleece, I machine stitched the details of snow and baubles onto the front. Then I stitched both sides together. I shaped the arms and legs from fleece and felt, not really following a pattern, as I tend to make things up as I go along.
The stuffing is fibrefill. The final detail, the star on top, is yellow fleece with beaded eyes and an embroidered mouth. She turned out squishy and super-cute! xx
