Start with painting your lemon outline and bottom shape with a light yellow. Add a darker yellow on the wet paint around the edges, so it blends nicely together.
When the first layer has dried, start painting the lemon segments. Leave little gaps of unpainted paper to create the textured look of the inside.
When you have all the segments painted, add darker yellow paint on the wet areas, so they blend to create some depth.
When the painting is dry, use a thin brush to add some dark yellow details.
