my aunt taught me this knot when she visited this summer, and after some practice i used it in a bracelet. it's really easy to learn but kinda hard to make them perfect.

Step 1get your hemp/any type of cord you're using!
you can use several strings or just one if you're just starting out, so decide what you want and tie a simple knot at the top.
you won't need much if you're making the bracelet -
Step 2make a loop with one string...

Step 3overlap the other string under the loop and over the end part of the loop's tail

Step 4and through the bit that the loop string and the other string make
(not the best description i know, haha but take a look at the picture) -
Step 5pull the end of the other string under itself (to make another loop), and then over the first loop

Step 6tighten it, use more cords, add beads, whatever! keep going to make a bracelet, using however many knots to make it as long as you want, and you're done :)
