Description

Instructions

  1. Small strips

select your jelly roll! these usually range between $15 to $50.. it all depends on the brand and where you get it from. cut the jelly roll strips into 4 equal lenght strips

  2. pin these together in groups of 4, trying not to have any colour double ups in each set. and sew them together into squares.

  3. Small squares

now pin these squares into strips of 4 or 5, making sure to alternate the direction of the strips

  4. Small quilt

now you sew these strips into one big square/rectangle, still remembering to alternate the direction of the strips.

  5. cut 4 4"-6" strips for your border out of the extra fabric and sew it around the quilt.

  6. Now for the fun part.. you have to quilt it. I just dint a few straight lines on my sewing machine at home but its hard to keep it flat like that.. so you could also do it by hand or some sewing/quilting shops will quilt if for you for a fee.. this usually ranges from $50 to $200 depending on the size of your quilt

  7. after it's been quilted you have to sew the binding on and since I'm terrible at explaining things, I found a youtube video to tell you how to do it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWh90tXr7g4

  8. after I'd finished all that i still had some bits left over so i made some matching cushions :3
