About

Japan is our spiritual nail home. If it sparkles, blings, and comes in any shade of pink, it’s in! We love doing Japanese-themed nails so much. We wish they’d ship all the fun bits and bobs that you stick on your nails outside of Japan, but unfortunately they don’t. So the trick is to hunt online, scour craft stores and bead shops for anything fun that you can stick on your nails. For your own personalised stamp on your nails, you can learn to do 3D acrylic sculptures or create your own 3D shapes using oven-bake clay.

You Will Need (5 things)

  • 1 silver, gold or holographic Glitter Nail Polish
  • Swarovski Crystals in a mixture of sizes
  • 3D bows and roses Charm(s)
  • White Nail Art Pen
  • 2 different pink glitter Nail Polish

Steps (5 steps, 30 minutes)

  1. 1

Leave the base of your nail nude. After you’ve prepped and painted a clear base coat, paint a thin layer of glitter over the top half of your nail, using the first pink glitter.

  2. 2

Repeat using the second pink glitter and again with your contrast gold or silver glitter.

  3. 3

Using your white nail art pen draw heart outlines on a few nails.

  4. 4

Using nail glue, stick on crystals, bows and roses. Place most of them on the middle nail doing less on as you go outwards, so the thumb and little finger just have a few crystals on them.

  5. 5

Apply topcoat over the whole nail, including all your 3D bits and allow to dry.
