Made this dress to go watch Iron Maiden in Manchester in July 2011, my first attempt at making a dress without a proper pattern, copied the style from another dress i had that i really like. It turned out a bit shorter than i thought it was going to at the back, but i put a frilly black skirt under it and it turned out pretty great. It's made from mainly black stretchy fabric. I made a stencil saying 'Iron Maiden' and printed it on the front of the skirt part. The picture on the bodice i made with printer transfer paper (had to use white fabric for bodice for this reason.) The net on the bodice is from an halloween window decoration i had left over. Wasn't gonna put lace on the edges to begin with but thought something was missing. Not sure how long it took me to finish because i did it in bits. I do know making the pattern was the hardest part.
