Transform a boring pair of stilettos into an adorably sweet and sassy Ice Cream Sundae that will have your mouth watering and leave your friends in awe!! In this fun and campy tutorial, designer & artist Timmery , will show you step by step instructions on creating these amazing stilettos inspired by a pair of shoes one of her friends shared with her!

Instructions

  1. Watch the full Tutorial Here! Step by step written instructions below!

  2. Prepare your stilettos by cleaning it thoroughly with 100% Acetone Nail Polish Remover

  3. Paint stiletto heel a shade of brown of your choice using acrylic paints. Be sure to apply 2 to 3 coats for full coverage. Allow the paint to dry in between coats.

  4. Once the paint is dry, using your small tube of 100% white silicone and a small paintbrush, paint on the waffle cone lines. This step gives your cone a three- dimensional affect. Allow the caulking to dry for 5 to 10 minutes

  5. Once the caulking is dry, go over your cone lines with a lighter shade of brown paint. You may need to go over the caulking a few times with paint to insure the best coverage.

  6. Now that your heel is complete, it’s time to apply your “ice cream” to the base of your shoe. Using your larger tube of silicone and a plastic knife spread the silicone (imagine your icing a cake) on your shoe. Make sure to use a good amount to get the proper three-dimensional look you desire. Allow this to dry for 20 minutes.

  7. While your “ice cream” caulking is drying, it’s time to create your rainbow sprinkles using your molding clay. Take a very small portion of clay and roll it onto wax paper creating a snake like shape. You want it to be thin, but not too thin. Using your Exacto knife you want to cut the roll into small pieces. I normally make about 16 sprinkles per shoe. However, you can make and use as many sprinkles as you’d like. The finished affect will look like slightly larger than normal sprinkles. You can reshape the edges by re-rolling the pieces by hand or using your Exacto if you don’t like the form they’ve taken. Allow your pieces to dry for about 3 to 5 minutes.

  8. Now that your clay is dry, it’s time to give these lovelies some color. Using your acrylic paints, paint the clay sprinkles the colors of your choice. Be sure to add 2 to 3 coats for the lighter colors. Allow to dry.

  9. While your sprinkles are drying, it’s time to paint on the “syrup” affect to your sundae. At this point, your “ice cream” caulking should be completely dry to touch. If not, wait until it’s completely dry before moving on to this step. Using an acrylic paint color of your choice and a paintbrush, paint on your “syrup”. Be sure to paint 2 to 3 coats for the best results.

  10. While your paint is drying, grab your small caulking tube to add “melting” drip affects to your “ice cream”. Moving downward up add drips to the cone heel and to various places of your choice on the base of the shoe to make the “Ice cream” look like it’s melting.

  11. While allowing your “melt drips” to dry, it’s time to glue on your sprinkles. Using E-6000 glue, glue your sprinkles strategically on top of the “syrup” part of your shoe.

  12. At this point our “Sundae” is really beginning to look tasty! Almost done! Using your small tube of caulking at a swirl of “whipped cream” to the top base of your stiletto, and add your faux cherry while the caulking is still

  13. Once everything is dry, spray a clear coat acrylic finish of your shoe and an epoxy resin over the painted areas and sprinkles to insure the longest life!

  14. Now, you have the cutest shoes ever!!! Go show them off to all of your friends and be sure to show me the results! Tag your photos @mynameistimmery #sundaestiletto on Instagram!!! And please let me know if you have any questions or need any help at all! I’m here for ya! I hope you had fun!!!
