Perfect for Zombie walks/Gatherings/etc.

The materials column won't let me add some things, so yeah, you need paint brushes too, and warm water for rinsing out the brushes.

You Will Need (11 things)

  • Acrylic Paint
  • 1 T Shirt
  • Paint Brushes
  • 1 Paint Brushes
  • 1 Toothbrush
  • Paint Brushes
  • 2 Paint Brushes
  • Newspaper
  • 1 cup Water
  • Paint Brushes (about 3)
  • Palette

Steps (9 steps, 20 minutes)

  1. 1

    Gather materials!

You should end up with: newspaper, a shirt, 2 or 3 paint brushes, a old toothbrush, acrylic paints, a paint palette, a rag,and a cup of warm water.

  2. 2

Lay down newspapers on your work surface.
This makes clean up a breeze.

  3. 3

Lay down your shirt, and put a large piece of cardboard underneath.

The cardboard prevents your paints from bleeding through to the other side.

  4. 4

Mix red paint and a drop of dark green paint together in your palette. Stir until you get a blood shade.

Add more red or a little orange if needed.

Take some bright shade (I recommend silver) of paint, and squeeze it into your palette as well.

If you want, put some other color in your palette too.
I chose a lavender shade, but it's not pictured.

  5. 5

    Now paint!

Take a wide brush, and paint a large "I".
    Rinse brush.

If your chose another color, use that to make a large heart. I find using a smaller brush for this is good.
Outline heart with your first color if you want.

    Rinse brush.

  6. 6

Now take your first color, using a wide brush, and in very scratchy, non-perfect letters, write "ZOMBIES".

    Sorry for crappy pic. .__.

  7. 7

    BLOOD:
We're going to splatter paint this!

Dip your toothbrush in your "blood" paint. Make sure it's well coated.

Place your index finger over the bristles, pull towards you, and release.

Do this as many times as you want.

  8. 8

Bloody hand print on your back:

Taking a very large brush, paint your opposite hand in the blood paint.

Make a hand print wherever you want on the back of your shirt.
Drag your hand after you make the print to give it a cooler effect if you want.

I did one on my right shoulder, and a few fingers on my left side.
