Description

A very Quick and easy Hunger Games inspired Archery pendant. Most is quick self-explanatory but I hope this will aid in your own creation :) Enjoy!

Instructions

  1. Small dsc02893

If you are planning on using this piece as a pendant or charm, first gather two strands of leather, wool, cord, whatever you have at hand. For the third piece, a chain or old necklace will make the piece more durable and look intricate! Now just braid away...

It should look something like this once you have finished braiding your three stands...

  3. Small dsc02897

Firstly, rolling out a disk shape of your chosen colour of clay, round it off into a perfect circle. This will be the target board. Carefully, using a craft knife in a circular motion, carve into to clay creating an almost wood-like effect.

Next, the arrow and apple. Using the same colour of clay you have chosen, firstly roll out a small piece and with the craft knife, create a feather design like the one in the photograph. For the apple, simply create a small ball of clay ensuring the correct proportion to the arrow, and piece the top with a thin cocktail stick. Then shape the apple to our desire. I apologize for the cut off image, please click on the image for the full size! :(

Now it is time for the Bow. Using another cocktail stick for the string (just for exact strength and support) roll our a snake like form of clay that will be placed at the side in a C like shape securing the ends to the cocktail stick. Next take three strips of the smale clay and wrap it around the middle and both ends for extra detail. This is optional.

The red wasn't really working well with me, so taking Black acrylic paint and clear nail polish, I repainted both pendants leaving the apple red. This was not the most detailed tutorial however I think this charm was very basic however if you would like a more detailed tutorial let me know :) Enjoy!
