May the yarn be ever in your favor!
I went to see the Hunger Games movie the day it came out, but I didn't make these guys until August. I had reread the series and I just thought this would be really cool, so...Here they are! p.s. That's Katniss, Peeta, Gale, Prim, Effie, Haymitch, and Rue from left to right. p.p.s. sorry about the lack of pics :)

    Ch 2,
    Rnd 1: 6sc in 2nd ch from hook (6st)
    Rnd 2: *2sc in st* 6x (12st)

    Rnd 4&5: 1sc in each st (18st)
    Rnd 6: *4sc, dec* (15st)
fasten off, leaving a long tail.

Now is when you want to sew on details so you can hide thread ends on the inside

  • Step 3

    DETAILS

First, add any details to body like felt, embroidery, or crocheted parts. There's a little flower in Rue's hair, I made Peeta a felt apron, Haymitch has a bowtie, that sort of thing.
Sew body to head using long tail
Cut pieces of yarn for hair and tie to loops on head

    OPTIONAL

For Katniss, I drew a bow shape on shrinky dink paper amd colored it silver with a silver sharpie. I punched holes for the string to go through in the ends, shrank it, and tied the string in it. Tada! If you have any questions, post in the comments!
