You Will Need (6 things)

  • Long Stick(s) (I picked mine in the forest)
  • Organic Cotton Pads
  • Paper Tape
  • Crepe Paper in various colors
  • Scissors
  • Glue (optional)

Steps (4 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

Start building the flower from the middle and work your way out. Take 4-5 cotton pads, put them on a piece of crepe paper and cut a circle a couple of inches wider than the pads. Dress the cotton pads in the crepe paper and wrap paper tape around the crepe paper in the back, turning the paper into a little stem. Now you have the pistil.

  2. 2

Using a different color of crepe paper, cut out the first round of petals. Cut them like this and glue the strip around the pistil.

  3. 3

When that’s done, take the flower as it is now and tape it to the top of a stick.
Now, we’re going to make the HUGE petals. Use two layers of crepe paper to make the petals a little stiffer. Cut three or four petals (two layers each) out of yet a different color of crepe paper in this shape.
Then cut three or four petals (two layers each) of another color (maybe the same as the pistil or tiny petals), but cut them a little bigger.

  4. 4

Tape the smaller petals to the stick, so that they overlap each other around the pistil and tiny petals, and then tape the bigger petals around the lot of them.
Finally, cut out some green crepe paper leaves and tape them to the middle of the stick. Done and done!
