Instructions

  1. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 075731 100 6333

Make your pom pom maker. Cut out 2 squares of cardboard, place them together and cut out a rectangle shape in the center, your finished result will look like the letter C.

  2. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 075910 100 6335

Start wrapping around the opening of the C area, but not tight, as the cardboard will fold in on it's self.

  3. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 080058 100 6336

Keep wrapping for your desired thickness.

  4. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 080405 100 6337

Leave a long tail, then cut your material/yarn and thread it on a needle.

  5. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 080539 100 6338

Bring your sewing needle from under, then over and back under to form a tight knot around your wrapping.

  6. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 080808 100 6340

Do not cut the long tail, move onto the next step.

  7. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 080934 100 6342

You can slide your scissors in between the 2 pieces of cardboard and start cutting your material/yarn along the top, then bottom edges.

  8. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 081149 100 6344

Your pom pom will slide off the cardboard.

  9. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 133927 100 6347

Before teasing your pom pom into shape, grab that long strand and make a loop for your crochet hook to fit into, then begin making a chain for the length you require.

  10. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 081516 100 6349

When your chain is made, fold it over and slip stitch into any chain space. This will form a loop for you to hang your pom pom.

  11. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 081638 100 6353

Your pom pom is now ready to use, hold it in your hand or hang it from a chair for your cat to play with.

  12. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 081754 100 6355

To make the Jingle Jangle, begin with magic ring and ch 1.

  13. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 081828 100 6358

Work 8 single crochets into the ring, then slip stitch to join. Tighten the ring firmly.

  14. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 081933 100 6359

Make a length of chain as long as you need.

  15. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 082059 100 6360

When your chain is made, fold it over and slip stitch into any chain space. This will form a loop for you to hang your Jingle Jangle.

  16. Small 109786 2f2015 07 07 082228 100 6365

Make your Jingle Jangles different lengths for hanging. For extra fun, sew on some bells.
