If you don't have a rolled hem foot or an overlocker you can sew a rolled hem manually. Rolled hems are necessary If you are working with a fine fabric such as silk or chiffon. They also work really nicely on any lightweight fabric. I use them on my Venus Kimono and they work out beautifully every time. In this tutorial I will show you in just a few simple steps how to easily sew a neat manual rolled hem.
