Instructions

  1. Small 112851 2f2016 01 11 030540 mock1

    Place fabric right sides together.

  2. Small 112851 2f2016 01 11 030546 mock2

Sew using the seam allowance noted in your pattern. * The seams will need to be larger than 1/4". In these photos we have used a 5/8" seam allowance.

  3. Small 112851 2f2016 01 11 030631 mock3a

Reduce your seam to 3/8". The easiest way to keep a consistent seam is to use a ruler and mark before cutting.

  4. Small 112851 2f2016 01 11 030636 mock4

Press seam flat and fold over raw edges to meet the seam.

  5. Small 112851 2f2016 01 11 030645 mock5

Match folded edges together so that the raw edges are encased within the fold. Pin in place.

  6. Small 112851 2f2016 01 11 030654 mock6

    Edgestitch the folded edge.

  7. Small 112851 2f2016 01 11 030710 mock7

Press seam to one side! Your finished seam should look just like a French seam!
