Here is the promised cover for the scarf heating pillow. Again because i will move , i must clean my materials.LOL I had seen this chenille making years ago on some clothing parts. I really like it. When i was searching last year on the internet to clover materials shops. I saw a special tool for making this chenille fabric. when i call the salesman (it was a woman.LOL she told the directions to make it. And thought why not buying. I have discovered that you really don't have to! But i can be handy, i didn't like it at all. but its fun to make you're own chenille. My mother in law had a bedspread of it, My own mother disliked it, because she called it as kitschy. So pitty. So because its kitshy and i'm still ond of it, i like to share you this. Its really easy to make, and of course you can make it for other uses as well, like bags or, bedspreads or ,other covers or....clothes! O, a last point the time is whichtout the washing and drying after the cutting of your fabric. feel free to ask me i've you want;-D

I had maked a chinelle heatingscarf cover,so the measures i had to cut of the fabric is depending what you like to make of the chenille fabric. Don't uses very thick fabric, or only on the underlayer! but this are mine measures. i have taken 145cm (58 inches) x 30 cm (12 inches) cut four layers form this sizes and pin them on each other. Attention: Washes always your fabric before you will uses them, it can be crimping when it wasn't washed before! And ironing them before its helping you too a lot. I'm not such a fan of ironing=D but its better to do so.LOL
draw with the tailors chalk diagonal lines at 4 cm /1,50 inches distance on the four layers of fabric. I like the smaller lines, like the small covers i had made. the lines are more next to each other , about 2 cm/0,50 inches.
sew the lines on the fabric.
this isn't a recommandation, but this a one of the tools you can buy or use for making chenille fabric. I had bought this one, because you could make more curved lines then the only the straight diagonals.
Set the tool beneat the three layers fabric, carefully not too the fourth layer.LOL When you use a scissor you must take more attention for not cutting the last layer too. Its not so wrong, only you must sew again a layer on the last one in diagonal way.

I prefer the scissor i have found out, its much easyer .I have set this pict to the side to let you know which scissor you can use, a small one i much handyer to cut the fabric.
some time off, ... After all the sewing and a lot of cutting we must rest said Wolfje, she is tyred of all her inspection she had done.LOL
Endly all the cuttings are maked. Okay now you must trow it in the washing machine, with all your other washing items. And let it dry.
This is the small version after washing and drying.
to get it more fluffy you can brushes the fabric top layers with a wire-brush to fry edges. like te pict. but you can uses a camb for dogs too, i think!
Afrer some more brushing it would like more velvety. If becessary repeat this method . attention: there will come of a lot of dust,so i've you're like me allergic its not a smart idea to do this without a mask for protection.!
A very smart thing to do,before you will use your chenille fabric to stiches it beside the edges and zigzaging. It makes it more easy to make something of the fabric, i had so pitty discoverd that to late.LOL and cut of the sides of the fabric. You have make now your fabric, but i've you like i will tell you how i made me scarfheating cover.
i would like as closuring a lip with a buttonhole , but of course you can chose for more easy enclosurings solution. I 'm not to fond of velcro, its make to much damages on your clothes. so thats way i chose for a button and a button hole.;-D Okay cut of the fabric three time a shapes like this, two layers laying with there right side on each other, the last is with his right on the wrong side on the other, Sew this fabric and cut a small edge from the round top and turn the fabric over.
sew the shape on the edge. make with the sewing machine a button hole, or i've you like on hand,. then make with a ripper the button gate.
lay on the front side the lip with the buttonhole in it. like the pict. Be sure the top is to the downside of the scarf! On the half part you must sew a button on the scarf. look to the pict. I've its not to see, klick for a better view to the pict.
cut of some fabric a shape of 30 cm/12 inches by 20 cm/8 inches. Lay a seam in one side of the side of 30cm. and sew this on the sewing machine.
Okay some more confusion, i was making two covers at the same time, so thats way you see some changes in the fabric, don't pay attention on that ,please! Lay the flap with the seam downstairs on the right side of right side of the scarf and the tongue. pin it , and sew it to each other.

Turn the flap to the wrong side, the flip is now in the right position and sew a line thought the edge. Make a small seam in the other side of the scarf. Like you can see in the pict.
Fold the scarf with the two ends on each other , the right side on the right side and sew it, with the sewing machine.
Turn the inside out and your finished your project!!!!! Yeahhhh. Mine is approved by Wolfje.LOL Put your heatingscarf pillow in it and its ready for using. I wishes you much fun with the making of and much profite of it.;-D
