It was the rainest day out today, so I figured since there was no way I was going outside, it's time to break out the beads and make a cute, and easy, necklace. I originally just started to wing it and had a "Let's just keep going and see what happends" attitude but this necklace turned out really well.

It was the rainest day out today, so I figured since there was no way I was going outside, it's time to break out the beads and make a cute, and easy, necklace. I originally just started to wing it and had a "Let's just keep going and see what happends" attitude but this necklace turned out really well.

Instructions

  1. Small img 7192 1310960925

Cut out a medium length of wire carefully with the pliers, this wire will be used to make the bow.

  2. Small img 7194 1310961183

Choose the beads you want for the bow. String on a larger bead followed by the desired amount of beads, in my case, a blue circular bead followed by twelve blue tube-like beads.

  3. Small img 7197 1310961288

Fold the wire and pass it through the bigger bead in the middle, refer to the picture if you are confused.

  4. Small img 7198 1310962044

Pull the wire that you just put through the bigger bead in the middle so there is wire below the big bead.

  5. Small img 7199 1310962165

String the same number of beads on the otherside, and pull the wire through the bigger bead in the middle again, same as before.

  6. Small img 7201 1310962367

Add the beads you want to the two pieces of wire that are sticking out the bottom. I'm adding two blue tube shaped beads on each side, and one heart shaped bead on the end of each piece.

  7. Cut off the access wire but leave half and inch to an inch of wire at the end. (Use the picture in step 6, I forgot to take a 'before cut' picture =b)

  8. Small img 7202 1310962574

Curl the wire under the last bead, make sure that the beads are secure before cutting off the rest of the wire. (The left side hasn't been cut, the right side has)

Congratulations! The bow is now complete. Now it's time to start the actual necklace part.

  10. Thread a beading needle if you want to, it helps me a lot because I always want to get beading projects done really fast =b (No picture for this one either, but, I am sure most people know what a threaded needle looks like.)

  11. Small img 7204 1310962940

Thread the string through the bow. A needle helps a lot with this step.

  12. Small img 7205 1310963182

Put on the beads that will go around your neck, I used green seed beads. (Left necklace, the one on the right I made earlier.) Tie the two strings together.

Enjoy your new necklace! You can modify it so that you have a bow ring. You could even just make the bow and hot glue gun it to a ribbon to make a choker, sadly, I didn't have any ribbon on hand.
