If you are wishing to make a gift, present or even something for yourself this is the perfect thing to make. A simple cushion cover with a zip which is super easy to make and is really useful! Have a go!
First, you need to measure a plain pillow that you will cover with this new cushion cover you will make. Then mark it with a fabric marker and cut, cut, cut!
Now you need to pin together the two front and back pieces of the cushion cover to keep them together. Then sew the two sides and the bottom remembering not to sew the top part where your zip will fit in. Also remember while you are sewing sew on the reverse side.
Later, still on the reverse side fold the top about 1 inch from the top and pin together. Then sew that together.
After doing that you need to place the zip (which is perfect size for your cushion cover) opened on the folded part you sewed before and pin it together. After you have pinned them together you need to sew that. Once you have done that you need to do exactly the same on the other side. Once you have done that try the zip to make sure it opens and closes fine.
When you have done that and added any finishing touches place your pillow inside of the cover and show it off by placing it anywhere in the house or as a present. Remember you can use any fabric you want! HAVE FUN MAKING!
