Here's our guide to getting cute ombre nails at home!
Ombre nails are a great twist on applying nail polish and it's especially good for those who struggle to polish their nails the traditional way. Because ombre requires "stamping" rather than "painting," it's a lot easier and less time consuming. Not to mention it looks great!!

After applying a base coat, the first step is to polish a few coats of your two nail polishes on the makeup sponge. Make sure the colors overlap each other and that there is enough polish on the sponge to cover the nail.

Take the sponge and roll it over your nail a few times to create the ombre effect. Just as you would if you were traditionally applying polish, you want to have 2 or even 3 coats stamped on to your nail for a saturated effect.

After you've rolled the sponge on your nail a few times, you will see that your finger is a little messy. No worries, take a cotton swab, dipped in nail polish remover and clean up the edges.

I finished off this look with a MATTE top coat from Revlon. I prefer my ombre nails matte because without the shine, you can really see the smooth ombre effect and it is also super modern and chic!
