Envelope based on "DIY Envelopes" by Cat Morley
I wanted to make some fun stationery to send to friends overseas. Using Cat Morley's idea in her "DIY Envelopes" tutorial, I deconstructed a greeting card-size envelope to make a template on cardboard (a Miller Lite box, to be exact). Then I traced the template onto a sheet of scrapbooking paper, and lined the top flap and center piece with pretty purple tissue. I glued it all together with white school glue. I traced the bottom of a plastic drinking glass onto white computer paper for the areas where I'll write the addresses (you'd be crazy to try to write on top a print like this one). The writing paper is a plain old sheet of computer paper as well, with bubbles cut by tracing the same glass bottom from the white address circles, as well as a bottle cap for the smaller sizes. Took about 20 minutes start to finish. Thanks Cat for the idea! =^.^=
