I love these molds, they're so easy to make and they work really well! Also, I didn't come up with this idea. I've seen them before on other website, but since there isn't a how-to for them on this website, I thought I'd post it. I did make the ones you're seeing here though ;)

Description

I love these molds, they're so easy to make and they work really well! Also, I didn't come up with this idea. I've seen them before on other website, but since there isn't a how-to for them on this website, I thought I'd post it. I did make the ones you're seeing here though ;)

Instructions

  1. Small zi6 2119

You're going to want to lay out some parchment paper first to work on.

  2. Small zi6 2120

while your hot glue gun is warming up, pick out a cabochon that's you'd like to make a mold of.

  3. Small zi6 2122

squeeze out a goo-sized glob of hot glue, anywhere from half a stick to a couple sticks depending on how big your cabochon is.

  4. Small zi6 2123

Push you cabochon face-first into the hot glue.

  5. Small zi6 2132

Let completely harden, and then pop your cabochon out. Voila! Note: If you're using a thin cabochon BE VERY CAREFUL not to snap the cabochon in half during this step! (sadly, I speak from experience.)
