Honey Bran Muffins

Wake up to a treat with some freshly baked honey bran muffins.

You Will Need (12 things)

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 3/10 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 4 tbsp Porridge Oats
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 x Egg(s)
  • 1 ½ cup Bran
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Almond Extract

Steps (5 steps, 30 minutes)

    Mix together the bran and milk in a bowl.

    In a separate bowl mix together the oil, egg, almond extract and sugar.

    Sieve the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda in to a third bowl.

    Combine the oil mixture in with the bran mixture and then mix in the flour mixture and raisins.

    Fill muffin cases with 2 tbsps of the mixture and then bake in an oven for 25 minutes at 190°. Leave to cool and then spread with honey and sprinkle some porridge oats on top.
