Description

I love loose leaf tea, but my tea ball went missing and loose leaf was a hug hassle so I made these in little to no time.

Instructions

    These are your "ingredients".

  2. Small 107257 2f2015 02 04 164740 img 41971

Cut yourself some embroidery thread. I tried out different lengths to see what I liked best. It turns out the purple was the best. Everything else as just a little too short for my liking.

  3. Small 107257 2f2015 02 04 164819 img 41991

    Thread your needle.

  4. Small 107257 2f2015 02 04 164828 img 42001

    Take two aero press filters.

  5. Small 107257 2f2015 02 04 164844 img 42011

Start to sew as though it were regular paper embroidery.

  6. Small 107257 2f2015 02 04 164902 img 42021

Stitch all around the circumference of the filters until you get to the very top. When you get here stop sewing and leave a small hole to get your tea in.

  7. Small 107257 2f2015 02 04 164959 img 42031

I couldn't find my loose leaf for this tutorial so I just opened a bag of pre-bagged tea.

  8. Small 107257 2f2015 02 04 165039 img 42071

Then I filled the new bag with the tea.

  9. Small 107257 2f2015 02 04 165053 img 42091

Now finish sewing, leaving enough of a tail to use as a string. Then cut yourself some card stock and tie it onto the embroidery thread and use it as a tag.

  10. Small 107257 2f2015 02 04 165146 img 42111

And voila! You're done! You have successfully made a tea bag.

Now sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor with a nice relaxing mug of tea.
