This is the easiest method to make applesauce ever! Bonus it will make your house smell amazing, and just like fall. Hope you enjoy this sauce as much as I do. Pour it on pancakes, eat atop toast, enjoy with waffles or just eat it as is.

First gather your apples and wash thoroughly. I used 4 Jonathan apples and 6 Red delicious. Any apples are good but try and aim for a mixture of sweet apples, this ensures the best applesauce!
Next is the most tedious part of making homemade applesauce. You will need to peel and core ALL of the apples If you have an apple peeler or coring knife you should speed through this step. Put all your sliced apples in a large saucepan and add 2 cup water, cook on high until boiling then turn to med. to simmer until the apples are soft.
This step is optional but gives the sauce an AMAZING flavor. I used the leftover peels and cores and boiled them with some cinnamon sticks on high until the liquid was dark pink, I then add this liquid to the cooking applesauce.
Once your apples are soft use a potato masher/fork to give applesauce it's distinctive texture. If you want it smoother use a whisk. You can enjoy as is or top with some cinnamon.
