Why not make your own?
The tags that are attached to most gift bags are boring rectangles or squares. I thought it would fun to add flare to gifts with homemade tags.

  • Step 1

Choose your shape. You use either paper punches or use a more drastic design. I used a template to trace and cut out my shapes.

I you do use a template and decide to cut your shapes out, be careful and go slow while you are cutting. Also use good scissors.

  • Step 2

Once you have the bases cut out, decide what you want to do the tags. You could stamp an image, glue something down, or even leave them blank if your card stock has a nice design or image.

For these, I glued down snowflakes in the center of each tag with decoupage glue.

Before I glued the snowflakes down, I added a layer of decoupage to the bases to make them shine. This also makes them stiffer.

  • Step 3

Once you're prettied the tags up, punch a hole at where you want the top of the tag to be.

  • Step 4

Now it's time to string the tags. I used a white ribbon for this design. Anything can be used, though. Twine, string, yarn, etc.
