I've made my murdered cupcakes a few times and did so again this year for halloween, but I thought I would make a festive change to them and so this is the first year I've made these ones.
I've made my murdered cupcakes a few times and did so again this year for halloween, but I thought I would make a festive change to them and so this is the first year I've made these ones.
Make your choice of cupcakes, I used a rich chocolate cupcake for these.
Once your cupcakes are baked and cooled, core out the center. I used a small spoon to cut it out.
Fill the hole with your surprise! I made marshmallow that I spooned into them to set, but you could always use marshmallow fluff or something else if you prefer.
Top off your filling with the removed cake, and then you are set to decorate.
After icing the cupcakes I stuck a mini candy cane in them to be a bit more festive.
