High Voltage Necklace

A necklace that lightening struck twice.

You Will Need (9 things)

  • 2 Coloured Permanent Marker Pen(s)
  • Clear Shrink Plastic
  • Oven
  • Silver Chain
  • Hole Punch
  • Scissors
  • Jewelry Clasp
  • 3 x Jump Ring(s)
  • Coloured Chain

Steps (11 steps, 30 minutes)

  1. 1

    Draw out a lightening bolt, or use my template, and cut it out. (Remember that you want it to be 8 times the size you want your final bolt to be).

    Draw around the bolt, on to shrink plastic, using one of the coloured permanent markers.

    Place the template to the side and fill in the outline with the marker.

    Create a second bolt using a different colour of

    Cut out the bolts using with a pair of scissors.

  6. 6

    Make holes at the top of the bolts using a hole punch. Shrink the bolts in an oven and leave to cool.

    Take two chains of your desired length, one coloured and one silver.

    Attach a jump ring through one end of the two chains.

  9. 9

    Place your finger between the chains, just below the jump ring and twist the chains with your other hand so that they begin to intertwine.

    When you have the changed twisted tightly, carefully attach a jewellery clasp on to the other end of the chains.

    Place jump rings on to the two bolts and attach them to the necklace. All done!
