My goal is to take what i would otherwise recycle or throw away and use it in my art.

    draw out your hearts on the clear plastic using a template or free hand even..then cut them out

    I wanted my middle heart to be zebra stripes so I painted it with mod podge and then laid it into tissue paper that was striped. You can use anything but i like tissue cuz light goes through it...you can glitter it, paint it or color it with markers...anything you want!

    I wanted my end hearts to be like stained glass. i colored the hearts red with a red permanent marker. then painted it with mod podge and let dry...just to repeat the process...the color looks deeper if you do it 2 or 3 times. I use a plastic salad top it is the name of the store on it but I use it in my design. So on this one I did not color the name...I left it clear for now.

    i decorated the zebra heart using music note sequins a glitter heart with a diamond in it and some red hearts on it too. then after letting it all dry I gave it a coat of mod podge to secure and make it shiny.

    I painted the clear area with mod podge then glittered the back of the heart so the gold will come through the front and the glitter that is on the red will look like red glitter.

    I decorated the other hearts with the I and U and the same elements from the zebra heart. When dried I painted them with a thin layer of mod podge as well.

    while the hearts dried I cut my wire. I need one about 1.5 inches, one about 2 inches and two about 2.5 inches.

    the smallest is to make a loop to hang it from on the top heart. the two largest are for in between the hearts and the last is like a tail it is shorter cuz it does not need to be attached on both ends. bead them and twist the wire to make it hang.

    I used red ribbon and frilled it for the hanger!
