Instructions

  1. Small heartpastryplush3

Using the template in the PDF, cut out two hearts from tan felt. Cut out one oblong shape from red felt. Cut slits into one of the hearts, and stitch a little face onto the front.

  2. Small heartpastryplush4

Hold the red felt piece behind the slits, and, using a small running stitch, sew around each slit.

  3. Small heartpastryplush5

Hold the two heart shapes together, and sew around the outside edge. Use small, straight stitches that are perpendicular to the edge of the felt. This will create the look of crimped pastry. Leave an opening to add stuffing.

  4. Small heartpastryplush6

Fill with as much stuffing as you choose. It doesn't have to be quite as puffy as shown. Flatter will make it look more like a toaster pastry!

  5. Small heartpastryplush8

Stitch the opening closed with the same perpendicular stitches. Your pastry is all finished!
