You Will Need (11 things)

  • ½ cup Grade B pure Maple Syrup
  • 2 Tbsps unpasturized Honey
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cup Flaxseed meal
  • 2 cup Quick Cooking Oats
  • 1 cup Slivered or whole Almonds
  • ½ cup Unsweetened Coconut
  • 1 cup Dark 50% Chocolate Chips

Steps (5 steps, 35 minutes)

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 300˚F (150˚C). Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

  2. 2

In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine maple syrup, honey, oil, cinnamon and nutmeg. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Stir in flaxseed meal, oats, almonds and coconut. Pour into prepared pan.

  3. 3

Bake for 35–45 minutes or until golden brown, stirring every 15–20 minutes. Granola will crisp up when cooled. Add dark chocolate chips when granola is thoroughly cooled.

  4. 4

This is great as a snack, or added to plain yogurt topped with fresh fruit and honey. I never seem to get sick of it, and it’s pretty good for you, too.

  5. 5

Cool; store in an airtight container.
