Simple accessories from Mussel shells! Let's minimize our trash! RECYCLE! ^_^ NOTE: We gathered these Mussel Shells after eating it. No MUSSELS were harmed while making this tutorial.
Wash the empty shells thoroughly and dry.
Coat it with colorless nail polish. You may also want to use colored nail polish. You can be creative on this.
Add embellishments using hot glue. Scrap beads, laces and fabrics can be used. Remember: be creative!
Cover the back part of the shell with your scrap felt or any fabric to make it easier to attach it to the head band or hair clip.
Cover your head band with a silk ribbon or lace. Then attach the embellished shell to the head band. Make sure to cover any unwanted sight of the hot glue.
OR use a hair clip to make a fascinator.
