You Will Need (4 things)

  • Size US 7 (4.5mm) 16” Circular Knitting Needles
  • Size US 7 (4.5mm) Double Pointed Knitting Needles
  • 1 Hank each Cascade Yarns Lana D’Oro (3.5oz/100g ea approx. 219yds/200m, 50% alpaca, 50% wool) Yarn in #1058 ruby heather (A), #1094 intense aqua (B), #1030 ecru (C)
  • Tapestry Needle

Steps (2 steps, 180 minutes)

  1. 1

    • With circular needle and A, cable cast on 96 sts
    • Begin chart, working rows 1-34 of chart once
    • With C, knit until work reaches 7” from CO edge
    • Begin decreases, switching to DPNs when necessary
    • Next Round: *k6, k2tog* to end of round – 84 sts
    • Knit 2 rounds
    • Next Round: *k5, k2tog* to end of round – 72 sts
    • Knit 2 rounds
    • Next Round: *k4, k2tog* to end of round – 60 sts
    • Knit 2 rounds
    • Next Round: *k3, k2tog* to end of round – 48 sts
    • Knit 2 rounds
    • Next Round: *k2, k2tog* to end of round – 36 sts
    • Knit 2 rounds
    • Next Round: *k1, k2tog* to end of round – 24 sts • Knit 2 rounds
    • Next Round: *k2tog* to end of round – 12 sts
    • Divide last 12 sts evenly across DPNs - 3 sts on each needle
    • Work icord on each individual needle (4 icords total) for 6”

    Finishing
    Weave in all loose ends with tapestry needle • Block lightly
