I was inspired to make this whenever my mother sent me pictures of an apron she'd made with hearts all over it and though I would make her a matching set of tea towels.

Description

I was inspired to make this whenever my mother sent me pictures of an apron she'd made with hearts all over it and though I would make her a matching set of tea towels.

Instructions

  1. Small 107314 2f2015 02 07 144955 img 4777

    The "ingredients".

  2. Small 107314 2f2015 02 07 145016 img 4785

Go ahead and figure out how you want your hearts to look, draw on your sponge and then cut it out. If you have pre-cute heart shaped sponges, even better!

  3. Small 107314 2f2015 02 07 145106 img 4783

This was the "He Loves Me" heart.

  4. Small 107314 2f2015 02 07 145126 img 4787

"He Loves Me Not" Once you've cut everything out, prep your space by placing the towel over the wax paper.

  5. Small 107314 2f2015 02 07 145145 img 4788

Then just dip your sponges into your paint and place them gently on the tea towel in an alternating pattern until you're happy with the impression that they make.

And voila! You're done and you have a cute new tea towel to use. Allow for up to 72 hours of drying and then hand wash gently before use.
