I saw this on Martha Steward and thought ooooo to bad its again too expensive. I really love her site and all her crafting projects, but they are always to expensive for commen people like me and i never have those materials at home -S But i love it so much ,so i thought why not make it of scaps materials that eveybody has as a crafting girl already and making more stronger and durable, so it will be cheaper too;-D Only one notition because of making it more durable it cost you a lot of more time though. ,but then you have more time to enjoy your little creation of your crafting.LOL link: she used this only on little stands of a half polysterne ball ,) but i think you can do so much more with it. so this is the first figure later on there will be an other tute of an other figure i saw of Margaret and the others so please be alert of the next story and tute. And i make a tute of my stand i have maked,;-D i hope you liked it and i've you have still questions feel free to ask!!!;-D P/S the time is without drying time!

stap 1 pick up the thin iron wire and fold it like the drawing figure show you. fold a small piece of the wire backwards. this will be the first arm. You must twist the iron a little to make it must more strenght.(zie foto no 1.begin van het frame
step 2 fold a little to straight upwards, this will be the head. and make a loop. this will be the ear.
step 3 go ahead to the other loop for the seccond ear and go down tfor the head and fold the seccond arm
step 4 make a twist on the head like the picture show you.
step 5 Now you must make the the muzzele when you wil make the rabbit. fold the wirein the twisted neck , straight upwards in a loop , that you must make flatten for the muzzle and do this twice. make an other twist around the head . See the first drawing.
go downwards for the body and make a loop with you twist for the first leg.
make a angle of 90 degrees and then make the seccond leg loop, and go backwards to the neck. You have finished the body of your rabbit.
make some turns round the body and the head. now you're really finished your wire figure.
make with cotton yarn or woollen yarn turns round the whole figure like you the drawing of the wire figure show you. so start with the first arm and go ahead to the head and go on like the rest.
when you have did the head you go to the muzzle , fold the two loops flat near each other, and make turns with your yarn on it. not till the end. the last end, must you fold downwards over the yarn. Like you have made a stop for the yarn turns. then go to the other parts of the body.
pick up your brush and cover the whole figure with wooden glue. Let it dry and add a seccond layer of wooden glue to it. Let it dry, and fold the figure in a nice position you like later on.
the paper mache paste recipe: Because you make tiny figyres , and because this isn't be dureable for a long time, make small part if this. whithout frigde you can use it 2 or 3 days. Using a frigde you can use it till a week. then its really spoiled. take 25ml flour take 20 ml water take 25 ml wood glue. put the flour in a bowl and stirr the water and glue trought each other till you wil become a smooth paste. Then its ready to apply in thin layers on your project.
o work a little bit faster you can use a hair dryer. but not to hight the dryposition stand, because it goes not good. low stand and little by little. like the thin layers. but you can put the figure to like as a dip;-D it become to look like a fritter, with very strange lumps and bumps.;-D the front side of the rabbit
the front side of the rabbit Ive you like you can add more paste on it like this, the figure looks after all the layers like ceramic figure;-D very pretty! pic konijntje met staart gelijmd met paste.
the fun part: painting them, withacrylic paint. Do'nt do like me, i take at first a light colour on the paste, Not smart at all, it doesn't covering it up with one layer. so its much smarter and i think you're all are,LOL paint the whole figure of yours with with paint. and then the light colour of your own choise.Let dry and add a ponpon on the back of your rabbit.
other colours. with the darker brighter colour you make some details of clothings and ears and so on. Take some drying time between each colour !!!
little accents; close up van gezichtje.jpg. draw with fine liners of your makers a pretty face on the rabbit and other small things on the cloths you like and glue some wiggly eyes on their head. add some glitter on the ears and were you want more glitters. on your rabbit, and you have finished your rabbit.start blauw konijntje met glitters af. You can make use those figures on cake stands or just to a stand on your table or inthe coset or make a keyholder of it or some jewelry or chrismas hangers. just what you like the most;-D or put them in a terrarium. just anywhere you like the most;-D roze konijntje af.
