A Tasty Vanilla Latte on a College Student Budget!!
As a Starbucks addict I noticed that I was spending near 30-40 dollars a week just getting coffees at Starbucks. For Christmas I got an espresso percolator and set out on a mission to create delicious and affordable "designer" coffees!

This is my version of the Starbucks/Barnies/Richards Vanilla Latte on a college student budget.

It really is ridiculously easy to make!

ENJOY!

  • How to make an iced coffee. Hannah's Super Easy Vanilla Latte - Step 1
    Step 1

These are the tools you will need for this recipe:

    Preferred glass
    Espresso
    French Vanilla Coffee Creamer
Fat free or 1% Milk (any other milk makes it too thick)
A small measuring cup (got this one at Walmart)
    A Spoon
(little green alien and container of dog cookies in background optional)

First, you start out with the espresso... really the brand doesn't matter that much. It's all your preference.
I prefer Pilon & Cafe Bustelo. These two are inexpensive (around $2.50 each) and don't have that distinct "burnt" taste that some espressos do.
Brew a single pot (my percolator brews about 10 oz) for the first step.

After you've brewed your espresso measure out 3oz in your little measuring cup and add it to your glass.

Next measure 2.5oz of the French Vanilla Creamer and add it on top of your espresso.

Then, measure out and add 3oz fat free or 1% Milk to your mixture.

Stir it all together add ice and a straw and you're ready to go!

You can get pretty creative with this base process. I've added whipped cream and chocolate syrup to this one time to make a creamy mocha latte. The possibilities are endless.

Let me know what you think!
