Description

Well, I made this to replace the air freshener in my car. Plus it’s an excuse to combine two of the sexiest thangs around - anchors and leopard print! It is simple as easy to do, so have some fun and see whatcha get! x

Instructions

  1. Small 103 3568 1266782469

Draw your anchor (or desired image) onto paper.

  2. Small 103 3569 1266782488

    Cut it out.

  3. Small 103 3572 1266782576

Place the template onto a pice of felt (we'll call this felt A) and draw around it.

  4. Small 103 3573 1266782734

Fold the felt it half. And cut out, this will give you two identical shapes. TIP: Pin the felt in place once folded to prevent it from moving while you are a-cutting out.

  5. Small 103 3579 1266783601

Put an anchor on the back of the second piece on felt (we'll call this felt B) and draw around it. Then fold it as before.

  6. Small 103 3583 1266783830

    Then cut it out.

  7. Small 103 3589 1266783964

Glue both the anchors onto felt B.

  8. Small 103 3601 1266784655

Pin the ribbon, as straight as possible, onto the right side of the felt (B). Do this with some ribbon hanging over the edge. This will keep it anchored (no pun intended) to the inside once it is sewn. TIP: To prevent the ribbon from moving around or getting sewn by accident, you can fold it and pin it down.

  9. Small 103 3590 1266785174

Place the felt onto the third piece of felt (we'll call this felt C) making sure you have enough space (approx 2cm) around the edge.

  10. Small 103 3591 1266785225

Draw around it. (<.< My 1st line is blue)

  11. Small 103 3592 1266785311

Draw another line about 2cms, from the last one. (<.< My 2ed line is pink)

  12. Small 103 3593 1266785380

Draw a third line inside the first. (<.< My 3rd line is pink)

  13. Small 103 3594 1266785527

Cut around your inside (second) and outside (third) lines. It doesn't have to be neat. (<.< I'm cutting both my pink lines)

  14. Small 103 3595 1266785707

You should having something that looks like this?.. A funky looking avocado shape thang. Make a cut every 3/4cms NEAR to the existing line. This will be visible fridge on the outside.

  15. Small 103 3596 1266786179

Now sew the three pieces together. Place them as follows. 1. (B) Face up.

  16. Small 103 3597 1266786256

    2. (C)

  17. Small 103 3605 1266786479

    3. Then the other (B) piece face down. Then sew away.

  18. Small 103 3609 1266786819

TIP: Make little cuts approx every 1cm. This will not be visible but will make the felt bend when everything is turned inside out.

  19. Small 103 3612 1266786766

Stop sewing all THREE pieces 2/3 of the way around, and only sew TWO - one (B) and (C).

  20. Small 103 3607 1266787113

    Turn inside out.

  21. Small 103 3615 1266787173

    Stuff away!

  22. Small 103 3620 1266787276

    Sew up the gap.

  23. Small 103 3644 1267205026

Cut the outside felt into triangles.

  24. Small 103 3645 1267205064

And your done! Nice wwon. x
