Hand Painted Jewelry Box With Owl Design

I picked up this cheap old wooden jewelry box at a re-use it store (it costed 50cents). Owls are my favorite animal. They are the symbol of knowledge and good virtue. I will admit, i am not a good free-hand painter. I laid my owl graphic on the box and poked holes through the paper printout with a needle where the lines of the picture were. Then i just connected the dots and painted over. After the paint dried, i went over it with some clear gloss to give it that extra shine. I lost the original image but there are about a million similar ones on google.
