This project was done last minute.I was asked to do a bouquet, for the bride and the junior bride, boutineers for the men, corsages for bridesmaids and flower baskets. this project was very lenghty. i had one month to complete everything. I will post the other items that were done for my niece's wedding at a later time. I said it took 5 hours, but that was the time I spent working on the different projects daily. I will be uploading a tutorial soon on making satin roses.

Description

This project was done last minute.I was asked to do a bouquet, for the bride and the junior bride, boutineers for the men, corsages for bridesmaids and flower baskets. this project was very lenghty. i had one month to complete everything. I will post the other items that were done for my niece's wedding at a later time. I said it took 5 hours, but that was the time I spent working on the different projects daily. Instructions

  1. measure fabric 1yd of 3in wide fabric. cut several pieces of this size before you start the project.

  2. After all of your fabric is cut to size. You will need pins to start,

  3. Next, lay your fabric lengthwise. Start in you upper left hand side. take the tip of the fabric and bring it down to form a triangle. Pin the triangle. Next with you pointer finger and your thumb take the fabric and bring it up to form another triangle. Pin it. at this point you fabric should look like a square with diagonal line. Fold the fabric right in the diagonal line. Continue the process until you reach the end of the fabric.

  4. Once you have completed the folding process you will have to go back to the very first triangle and with your needle and tread, began hand stitching. Please make large stitches because you will use this thread to pull as you go alone to form gathers. Each triangle will form the rose pedals.

  5. Once all the petals are formed. Again you must g back to the first triangle and began rolling the petal from the bottom of the triangle. roll the Petal inward. try not to roll tight. Lightly roll then use a dab of hot glue to hold the roll in place. Continue to roll until the end and used the same thread and needle to stitch the bottom of the rose so it won't unravel.
