Masquerade-ready
Here's a good example of a mixed-media project. On this mask I've got lace, feathers, ribbon, bias tape, beads, and copius amount of hot glue. Everything is glued to a base shape of clear plastic, which was sturdy enough to hold the shape but thin enough to bend around the curve of my face.

I'm actually quite pleased with the result, and proud that it came out this way with minimal planning. I also love my (if I may so myself) rather ingenious design of mounting the entire thing on the frames of some old sunglasses. It sat a bit high because of the arms, but I still think that's much better than an elastic squashing my hair down or having to hold onto a stick all night.

I'm definitely keeping this around, for future Halloweens or just in case any masquerade-themed parties pop up.

great project! I love the idea to mount everything on the sunglasses... definitely better than using an elastic! ^___^
