I think this necklace would be perfect for belly dancing. You could make alter this to make it in to a belly dancing belt or even headpiece.

Instructions

  1. Small hoop1 1286553850

For this necklace you'll need metal hoops in various sizes and some small silver coins - the type you get in belly dancing stores.

  2. Small hoop2 1286553903

Take one of your largest hoops and a coin. Open the coin's jump ring.

  3. Small hoop3 1286553964

Slip the hoop between the jump ring and close.

  4. Small hoop4 1286554005

Repeat this for a second coin. The coins have two sides, so you can arrange them with heads and tails, if you want a more varied look.

  5. Small hoop5 1286554083

Slip a connector on to one of the hoops.

  6. Small hoop6 1286554488

Use jewellery pliers to close the connector on the hoop side.

  7. Small hoop7 1286554534

Slip the connector on to the second hoop and close.

  8. Small hoop8 1286554591

Now take another connector and one each of the two smaller sized hoops.

  9. Small hoop9 1286554731

Place the medium hoop inside the larger one and slip the top of the connector around both. Close the top of the connector with pliers.

  10. Small hoop10 1286554763

Attach the smaller hoop to the bottom of the connector, inside the two larger hoops.

  11. Small hoop11 1286554869

Close the bottom of the connector.

  12. Small hoop12 1286554906

Repeat these steps, making your necklace as many hoops wide as you like.

  13. Small hoop13 1286555024

When your happy with the width of your necklace, attach a connector through one of the end hoops and then attach to a length of silver necklace chain.

  14. Small hoop14 1286555070

Repeat at the other side and you're all done!
