Bed Sheet To Tiered Maxi

https://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/gs-tiered-maxi • Posted by gee G.

I've been wanting to make a tiered maxi for some time now after seeing some online. I used a king size bed sheet knowing I would need quite a bit of material I'm 5'9 @ size 5-6. I like using bed sheets. I find them at the local Goodwill practically new for 4.oo. I worked on this all week, its definitely not for a beginner. I like a challenge and thats exactly what I got. I used a pattern piece for the top and found some measurements for the tiers online which ended up being a little short so I added a small ruffle on the bottom. I had a hard time with the gathering at first, so I used some yarn and a zig-zag stitch over the yarn and gathered that way. Pinned a ribbon on the top so I can remove the ribbon if i want... I'm happy with my tiered maxi if I could wear it everyday I would. lol
